The zoo is always so deceivingly disappointing. You go to the zoo thinking you're gonna see some wild animals like on a safari and it always falls short. The animals are asleep or they're too far away from the glass of the enclosure to get a good visual. So you decide not to go to the zoo again for awhile. But then you go home and start watching Animal Planet or Wild Kingdom and then you start thinking "I haven't been to the zoo in awhile. I should go to the zoo. The zoo is awesome." And the cycle repeats itself. Just once I'd like to go to the zoo and see (not experience) something awesome-- something wildly crazy or memorable. Oh well!

I just finished filming on a feature film entitled Samantha D.-- or as it is referred to on imdb S. Darko-- a follow-up to the Donnie Darko cult classic-- not High School Musical 3. Despite the popular rumors, I am not in High School Musical 2 or 3. I don't do sequels! To be perfectly truthful I don't know why I was even cast in the first one-- I don't dance or sing-- and my dialog certainly didn't require the greatest of acting ability; I'm not complaining because I certain enjoy the residual checks whenever they show up. Anyway Samantha D. was a fun project to work on. Should you come across this film in the dark recesses of a Blockbuster or Hollywood video in the near future-- pick it up and at least brush the dust off it. In all honesty I can't decide how this film will be received. I don't think that it really betray the Donnie Darko "model" and stylistically should be pretty similar; however fans of the original film also strike me as a group that will be moral opposed to the film simply because it is "Donnie Darko 2". Oh well!

I've been play a ton of soccer lately. I played a bit when I lived in Europe. Now that I'm working so closely with our local Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake, myself and a number of co-worker have managed to put together a couple teams and we play every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 6 a.m. Believe it or not it's pretty fun! And it's probably good exercise-- all the running and what not. My brain simply refuses to allow me think I'm older than 18 years old, so of course my whole body is sore now all the time. To date I've had an MCL micro-tear in my left knee, bruised ribs (twice), and now my ankles feel I've been caught stealing from the Kimberly diamond mines. Oh well!
